Solvent Recovery Systems began to appear in the Automotive and Industrial markets approximately 20 years ago. The idea of recycling was good and easy to sell as it made both economical and environmental sense. However, the technology was very inefficient, difficult to use, and proved over time to be unsafe for use with flammable liquids. CHEMCHAMP began developing recycling technologies in 1993. Our first focus was to develop a recycler unit for the Auto Body industry to meet the market need for a safe solvent recycler that was approved and allowed to distill flammable liquid onsite at the body shop. In 1995, CHEMCHAMP launched the first ever properly approved solvent recycler for distilling flammable liquids inside the body shop. Our new Technology offered unique features not found on conventional recyclers of the day. Thus making CHEMCHAMP the industry leader with "Best in Class Technology". In 1995, CHEMCHAMP managed to place units in every major city across North America. With excellent market acceptance, CHEMCHAMP realized greater market potential and customer service would be gained by partnering with Service Providers. This fostered the development of more revolutionary technology needed to comply with new increasing standards relating to Safety and Environmental legislation, primarily being advancing aspects of the "Clean Air Act". CHEMCHAMP's entire focus over the next four years was to set new standards with patentable recycling technologies. The areas of concentration were increased safety, limiting solvent emissions, ease of use, product longevity, adaptability to existing processes, and future trends. Always looking to the future, ChemChamp is a technology developer of on-site recycling for our target customer being service providers to the paint refinishing, industrial solvent and parts cleaner markets. |
